Comments I was in Cabo San Lucas after a 7-day off-road trip and looking for something to do during my 3 full days in town. I had not brought any of my dive gear so this was more of a spare-of-the-moment decision. The trip cost about $175 for a 2-tank dive and gear rental (dive computer was additional), a 3rd dive was optional and an additional $40. The first dive was right outside the marina at Neptune's Finger (close to the Arch). Max depth was 75' and the dive time was 39 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised when we spotted several large schools of fish, some rays, cleaning station, etc. (I had been to Cabo Pulmo in 11/21 and was very disappointed). The second dive was at Julio's Reef in the "corridor" area (aka Cabo San Jose area). Max depth was 55', dive time was 47 minutes - a reverse profile - deepest part of the dive was at the end. Nothing special - some coral, assorted fish but nothing special.

The water temperature was 68 - 70 degrees. The first dive was tolerable but half-way through the second dive I was thoroughly chilled. The 5mm one-piece wetsuit and NO hood just wasn't enough thermal protection.

While transiting between the 1st and 2nd dive we observed 4 whales. A nice addition to the trip.
