Comments My wife and I spent one week on the Pelagian live aboard followed by a week at the Wakatobi resort. The Pelagian should be considered a yacht versus a standard live aboard. Luxury living at its best. Everything was spotless and in perfect condition with the largest staterooms of the many liveaboards we have been on. Recommend one of the superlux cabins. The staff pampered us to the point of almost too much. Food was cooked to order and delicious. The boat allowed a good variety of diving including 2 days of "muck" diving in Buton. Four dives a day including a night dive lasting up to 70 min each. The following week at the resort continued with the same impeccable standards.Recommend an oceanfront room and request the "windy" side of the resort. The picture perfect tropical location. The diving was for the most part very easy and only had a couple dives with difficult current. The reefs are in excellent condition with numerous small fish and occasional larger fish such as tuna, Napoleon/bumphead wrasses. Only one blacktip shark in 2 weeks. This location is for the excellent quality and variety of the reefs and macro critters and certainly not for pelagics. Must comment that contrary to other reports and except for the muck diving we saw very little trash on the reefs or beach. Overall though quite expensive you get what you pay for and I highly recommend this as a place to experience. I would return.
