Comments The Pelagian is by far the best liveaboard we've ever been on. The boat is immaculate and refurbished annually. The rooms are spotless, light, airy, have windows and are huge. A "real" glassed in shower separate from the head; storage and great beds. easy to get around the boat, few steps down to the lower rooms. good layout schematics on website. they are booked out for most trips a year or more now. The Master cabin is over the top and the Superlux rooms also.
Dive deck, restaurant/salon, camera room and master suite all on main floor. Upper deck for laundry, lounging in or out of the sun or sitting up near bow to watch the scenery. All other bedrooms one floor below, easy access. head on main also.
Diving from inflatables great drivers and DM's. 4 to a boat. max 10 guests, we had only 8 divers and one snorkeler/free diver. Gear stays on boat entire week. washed off after every dive and covered. Full package includes 4 dives a day 9first day one dusk dive after you get on; one day has 4 hour travel so only 3 dives. Travel during the day for most part so no noisy nights of engines or anchors.
DM's rotate to boat from resort every few weeks, so all are experienced. Cruise director couple are fanastic! Great DM's and take care of your every need.
Diving is more varied than even at resort; two days of muck diving, two days of diving pristine atolls with pure white sand bottoms and lots of unusual critters. We'd never muck dived before and weren't too excited about it, but it was FANTASTIC! are planning a trip to Lembeh as we liked it so much. Highlight was Mandarin Fish night dive...literally hundreds of them mating and fighting. don't miss the Atoll diving and Blade, a very special site. boat travelled about 250-300 miles. Lots of pinnacles to explore. you can buy a "dive light" package if you aren't up to 4 dives a day.
Food was almost as good as at the resort; allergies and preferences accommodated. Cold breakfast at 6; dive at 6:45; hot breakfast, dive at 10:15; lunch; dive at 2:15; snack; dive at 5:30; dinner. Eat, Dive, Repeat.
