Comments So much has been written about Wakatobi, that I'll add only a few things. First, one of the divers used a wheelchair. The resort pulled the sand back on all of the paths they could be expected to use so that their wheels did not mire up. In the water, the dive staff made their dives utterly worthwhile, taking them piggyback up and down the ladder and steering them through the dives. Classy, no? Second, the staff is fantastic. Third, the diving is terrific, and the house reef is the best. We did have a private guide, who was extremely knowledgeable and sharp-eyed. I also note that Pam and David Osborne have three large e-books of Wakatobi photographs which can be downloaded for free on the Wakatobi website. Amazing effort and generous gift. Whether Wakatobi is worth the money or the travel is a personal matter, but if you go, I can't imagine being disappointed.

UW Photo Comments Exquisite. Camera room is not huge, but never crowded. 10 or so workstation, each with ample power. Crew takes rigs to the boats, where there is a huge workspace and large dedicated freshwater tank. And of course, a very target-rich environment; we saw about two dozen pygmy seahorses in a week of diving, including on the house reef.
