Comments We saw a large variety of colourful small fish. Several schools of medium / small fish like the Red Toothed Triggerfish and numerous varieties of Butterfly fish. Some of the highlights were Leaf Scorpionfish, Reticulated Puffer, Cuttlefish, Crocodile Fish, Fire Dartfish and Bumphead Parrotfish. At a good muck dive site (Tuluk Maya), we saw Frogfish, Pipefish, Mantis Shrimp, Dragon Sea Moth and a Cockatoo Wasp fish. Nudis of various sizes and colours were seen on most dives. Romi is an excellent dive guide, fantastic at spotting things we were interested in. We were given hot, scented face cloths and towels after the dives. Romi always asked if he could make us tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. after each dive. The boat crew were very helpful with getting gear on and off divers. A few of us took our BCDs off in the water and the crew happily hoisted them onto the boat.

Although we saw plenty of beautiful coral we also saw some damaged coral. The water temperature was 85°F for most of the dives which apparently is high for December. It would appear the high water temperature has caused some bleaching. As well during one of our dives we heard a loud explosion which was from dynamite fishing. Although illegal it still happens.

Our room was beautiful (ocean bungalow), the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning and shower worked well. Requests for more drinking water in the room or an alternative pillow from the pillow menu were met quickly and with a smile. The food was delicious and fresh. The variety of dishes was impressive.
