Comments [This was our second trip to Wakatobi. We spent one week diving from the resort and then another week diving from the Pelagian. We stayed in the same beautiful ocean front bungalow as before but now with added electrical outlets on both sides of the bed. Great front porch, hammock, and loungers. There is a great house reef to dive and snorkel but we didn't. The diving was fantastic. 83 - 85 degree water, spacious, covered dive boats with head. Exceptional dive masters who point out the most minute critters with magnifying glasses. Pristine corals and swarms of small and medium fish. Bait balls, sea snakes, turtles, crocodile and scorpion fish, large bump heads, schools of barracudas, and a lone white tip shark. Mostly wall and ridge dives with very good visibility. Easy currents. Diving from Pelagian was different and absolutely wonderful. The muck dives were outstanding for their unusual critters, mantis shrimps, spearing shrimps, multi-colored leaf fish, pipefish, and too many others to list. A lagoon dive found at least 7 large cuttlefish who willingly posed for videos and seemed interested in the divers. Huge blue puffers swam around the cuttlefish. We went back to the site a second time and the residents were still there. The divemasters were incredible. The dive operation was efficient. Nitrox a consistent 32. Cabins and food top notch. We will return. Most highly recommend and worth the effort to get there.

UW Photo Comments We only use a GoPro now but there were serious photographers diving with us both at the resort and on the Pelagian. We saw the set ups for photographers and they were spacious and well equipped. The boat crews respected everyone's equipment and kept them safe.
