Comments By far, the clearest and cleanest water we've seen in many trips to Indonesia. Little/no trash on the reefs, no sewage/trash at the surface. Just beautiful blue water, amazing corals, and in addition to the usual fantastic diversity of fishes encountered within the Coral Triangle, there was also an abundance of certain fish species not normally encountered in Indonesia or the Philippines due to their popularity in home aquariums. Eye popping from the first dive to the last. During the first few days, the currents were unpredictable and strong, making photography with a "big rig" nearly impossible since most dives are wall dives. Switching to an Olympus TG-6 allowed for fun photography that captured the beauty of the corals and sponges. Highly recommend photographers and non-photographers alike to dive with a powerful light such as the Backscatter MW-4300 video light to bring out the mind-blowing colors of the reefs.

Enforced diving restrictions 70 minute bottom times on the boats, though we managed a few longer dives by getting in the water as the first group. And unlimited bottom time on the house reef -- excellent!
