Comments	We went to Atlantis for the Thanksgiving holiday. Here is my review: Transfer from airport- this was very good, with prompt service and clean transportation. Resort check-in was okay, however the staff did not go over all of the important items. Very rushed and without structure, a prompting list would have helped. First impressions: The resort is on a very crowded beach, with lots of company and other hotels. Very busy. The room was nice with lots of built in furniture and features, good air conditioning and hot showers. Some of the rooms were located a ways away from the resort proper. Diving: Make sure you get the in-house dive guides. We had a freelance guide that was not very good. We were the last out every day, waiting for the disorganized staff for every dive. I believe they have had significant turnover recently, with lots of new inexperienced staff. On two dives we had the in-house guides, the difference was amazing. To go from a dive were they show you 3 creatures to 15 was a stark contrast. The diving was average, with bad visibility (not their fault) and decent critter sightings. Too many divers for the area with the dive sites. The package stated five dives a day, however we were only able to do 4 for two days and 5 for one day. This was due to their disorganization, not the weather or us. Totaled out 15 dives of 17 promised. I did spot 2 rhiopias at the Fantasea reef, which was awesome. Resort management: The only time we saw the manager was at the beginning and at the end, or in his office. He did not engage the guests at all except at these times. Food: Very good food. One morning there was a kitchen fire and they only served eggs and toast, nothing else to make up the difference. We starved for most of the day. No snacks between dives, except for once, maybe after they heard us discussing the lack thereof. Very small portions. My wife asked to change an order after a couple of minutes after placing it, the staff stated they could not change it. Overall: a decent experience, but not on par with their sister resort or other resorts in the price range. We don’t plan to return.

Too bad! We went there about 8 years ago with our son was only 12(diving already)& always one of our best family diving experience ever on every aspect. we read report about going down on quality , so good to know about detailed news after all we worked so hard to go DIVE (time & money). Thank you John, we talked about the trip all the time & maybe going back but so good to know we will will take chance somewhere else!! Kim
