Comments So after about 10 minutes into the first dive I thought.... I've dove worse! We weren't expecting much and were pleasantly surprised with the diving in Acapulco. The diving is done around rock formations, no coral to speak of. Fair amount of fish. Saw a huge eel and several spotted eagle rays. The thermocline was very evident. My wife was freezing in her 3 mm and had to stay above the thermocline. Beautiful place. I got to fulfill a lifetime dream of cliff diving in Acapulco and the professional show is not to be missed. Food is very expensive. The Grand Mayan is close to the airport and was over 1.5 hour drive to diving. Swiss Divers would pick you up at your hotel but we had a car. Recommend a rental car, just watch out for the crazy drivers. The Grand Mayan is an incredible resort and would definately recommend. Swiss Divers were great. The friendly staff took great care of us and really went out of their way to show us a good time. I wouldn't go to Acapulco specifically to dive but if you go it's definately worth packing your gear!
