Comments	How many times have you lamented about a place observing how you should have been there before it became overwhelmed by throngs of tourists, high rises, and the whole catastrophe? Though it’s new to me, San Carlos has this vibe. It’s stunning desert location in Sonora situated on a large lazy bay of the Sea of Cortez shines nicely in the sun. There were some tourists here when I visited in February and a couple of skeletons of high rises that have been started but appear to be on hold. Compared to Cabo, Cancun, Cozumel, and the Riveria Maya this is a wonderfully relaxed town with just enough amenities. Oh yeah, and there is some nice diving too.
