Comments	Beware. In August 2017 we sent in our $1677 deposit (for 2) for the June 6-14 2018 trip to Socorro. We did this trip in 2011. This time our dive buddy got Decompression Sickness in Cozumel last December, and of course, he and his wife had to cancel the June trip. Nautilus Explorer would not refund his deposit. My wife got cold feet in January, and we cancelled our trip. Again--no refund--even though they were going to sail with all berths taken except one. Then, a hurricane hit the Socorro area. People with flights called; they refused to cancel the trip until everyone had flown to Cabo--then the next day they cancelled the trip. (If they don't get a refund they should start a Class Action suit.) This company has three liveaboards--I'll never take one again. I've never been treated like this--and I've been a member of Undercurrents for about 20 years.

Isn’t this precisely why one is told to buy trip insurance?

I have DAN trip insurance, which is AIG. Doubtful if they will refund our deposit. Ever deal with Trip Insurance before? Have fun!
