Comments No question, this is the world's premier tiger shark dive site, I thought significantly better than Tiger Beach in the Bahamas. The operator told us that up to 280+ tiger shark individuals have been ID'd at Fuvamulah, I estimate I would have seen approximately 10 of those over the course of 6 dives at "Tiger Zoo". This site is literally a minute outside Fuvamulah's only boat harbor. Tiger sharks are apparently regularly sighted on the adjacent "Tiger Wall" site but I did not see any during the 2 times I dived that site. Tiger sharks have frequented Tiger Zoo for many decades due to dumping of fish scraps there by the island's fishermen, but a number of dive operators now conduct shark feeds with tuna fish scraps hidden under piles of coral rocks. Closest Airport Fuvahmulah Airport Getting There I flew Male to Fuvamulah airport, I left via Gan Airport on the neighboring island of Addu Atoll. Sri Lankan Airlines flies Colombo / Gan direct 2-3 times per week.

Enforced diving restrictions An informal check out dive for myself. My much less experienced partner had to do a brief refresher dive as she had not dived within the past 6 months. She also had to get a medical clearance from the local hospital as she was on mild medications. Some of the other divers went into deco
