Comments	We dived with the Ambai at Halmahera in August 2026. The trip was over new moon. Diving was well run with the dive crew looking after all the equipment - scuba kit was carried to the tender for each dive and you then kitted up on the tender - which was a good size. Generally groups of 4 divers to a guide and the guide was rotated each day - while this meant that it was sometimes hard to remember which guide to follow in the water and they did not come accustomed to your dive style, it also catered for the differences between the guides (some were keener spotters, and some were focussed on the swimming).
