Comments the good: long bottom times for Bunaken and Lembeh diving; many very good walls at Bunaken; many good critters at Lembeh--not saw hairy, white frog fish nor blue-ring octopus; but most entertaining self-burial of snake eel and mimic octopus at Lembeh; should have used the flash diffuser at Lembeh due to high particle count; lots of int'l and amiable divers-- German,Swiss, French, Dutch, Danish and British incl. British workers from Jakarta; very knowledgeable divers and photographers during my stay there; (on Singapore Airlines, very good-looking and very curvey stewardesses).

the bad: budget rooms too small and share bathrooms but ok due to low cost; the longer you stay at ea. resort, the lower the daily cost; some beginner divers but no problem; bring own dive computers and cameras; others had no complaints on resort equipment; tanks not filled to 3000 psi, usually ~ 2700 psi
