Comments In Bunaken Marine Park, this small island has a full service dive resort. Dive here for the beautiful coral and sponges. Great reef fish and some macro. Drift dive with the current that could send you flying. Don't even try to take pictures if you're on a wall dive and catch the current. Resort food is buffet style and outstanding. Manager is Italian so Italian food available at every meal. Cottages nice with outdoor Balinese bathroom. In room refrigerators, bottled water, coffee and tea. Nice pool area and local music entertainment at night. Need to use mosquito net on bed at night. We took malaria pills while in North Sulawesi and used deet spray here. Beautiful beaches; however, debris, trash, broken glass made it a challenge to walk it in flip flops and prohibited swimming. Pollution washes up from Manado harbor. This was nice diving after Lembeh, we enjoyed it, but it wouldn't likely get a second visit from us with the many choices out there. Glad we went though.
