Comments Nyande was our third dive base during a 3 week trip to Raja Ampat, after Raja4Divers and Warahnus Dive Homestay. When we booked we didn’t know we could dive with them - the dive operation opened just before we arrived, their rental equipment all brand new and smartly monogrammed (although we didn’t use it). We chose to stay at Nyande because of its spectacular two over-water bungalows located out along the dock walkway over the reef flat (we booked both, plus one of their beach cabins), the general location on the north side of Mansuar with a long reef and possible trail to south side of the island, and strong reviews about the place and its food. Where else diving Florida, Belize, Panama (Coiba, Pearl Is) St Vincent and Grenadines, UK, Red Sea (Sharm), Myanmar, Sulawesi (Wakatobi), Raja Ampat, Philippines (Luzon, Mindoro, Palawan), Solomons (Guadalcanal), New Zealand (Poor Knights), Papua New Guinea, west Australia
Closest Airport Sorong Getting There Orlando-Dubai-Jakarta-Sorong with Emirates Airways - booked as a single ticket and got 2 free hold bags the entire route, otherwise steep charges for second bag on Jakarta-Sorong leg. 40-50 hr travel time, we stopped in two hotels on the way in Dubai and Jakarta for 4-5 hours sleep each. 2 hr by ferry from Sorong to Waisai, then 1 hr by dive boat to Nyande (they will pick up/drop off).
