Comments [None] The worst part for some on board was the initial crossing due to some rough seas, so a few were not prepared for this with medication. I have learned over the years to always go prepared.

Water temps vary here from North to South. I took a 3 mil, 5 mil, and merino wool skin and hoody and used all of them. We had anywhere from 68 degree to 82 degree water temps.

Vis ran from very good to excellent.

I love Mermaid 1 and their operation is top notch. Great accommodations, excellent crew and excellent dive guides. They know the sites and where to find the great critters. Professional all around.

This trip is good for just about everything with the highlight of diving with Mantas on many dives and having close interaction with them. I am noticing more and more over the years an absence of sharks. They are there, and you will see a few ,but not like 10 years ago. Fish life is abundant and lots of great macro as well. If you go, do not miss out on night dives as they are very good.

There is so much to see in Indonesia . Every trip there is something new to see.

One highlight was having the privilege to watch within very close range a magnificent cuttle fish laying her eggs in a coral head.
With good buoyancy and staying very still she was in her comfort zone.

If you want to experience amazing diving go to Indonesia and dive within the coral triangle. You will not be disappointed.
