Comments This was my second time on the Ambai, although the last one was 10 years ago. I wanted to go to Halmahera (3rd time) and the timing was good for this cruise. I had spent 3.5 days diving in Saleh Bay, which we also visited on this trip. Visibility was an issue in both places.

Diving was pretty varied, mostly slopes of some sort with an occasional wall and sand for muck/night dives. Some highlights were squids, walking sharks, tons of anthias in the shallows, and I think there were big schools of medium sized fish (fusiliers, surgeonfish, etc) that were mostly just out of si ...
