Comments We were excited to attend the Capturing Critters in Lembeh photo workshop led by Erin Quigley, and Joel and Jen Penner. The resort van picked us up at the airport. It was an hour van ride and a 10 minute boat trip. We were greeted at the resort with juice and an offer of a free ½ hour massage. In less than a day, the staff had learned everyone’s name. The staff was wonderful. The resort is beautiful, and perfect for underwater photographers. We had a large room with an indoor/outdoor shower. There is a camera room, where batteries can be charged, and cameras/lens, etc can be stowed. There is also a photo room where a few items from Backscatter (underwater photo equipment) can be bought or rented, and some repairs can be made. The resort also has a staff underwater photo pro who is very helpful. The diver to guide ratio was 3:1, but often at the workshop it was 2:1. I have to admit I didn’t want to leave, and shed a few tears hugging everyone before we left.
