Comments As a dive destination, Alor is impressive. It has pristine corals, clear warm water, and a variety of fish and other creatures. It also has strong currents and placid muck dives. It is sometimes described as a blend of Raja Ampat and Komodo.

My experience diving here for a week was nothing but positive. Typically, I dove 3 times a day with 2 morning dives and one afternoon or night dive. Dives were a mix of drift dives, sometimes with strong but manageable currents, and other calmer sites. Often the dives started along walls with stunning topography and 100+ feet of visibility and ended in coral gardens. Always saw loads of anthias and fusiliers, occasional sharks, bump head parrot fish once, and a few medium sized fish like trevalli hunting.
