Comments	I stayed/dove at three places in Sulawesi: Santika, Gangga Island, KBR -- my trip was arranged by Island Dreams. Gangga Island Resort has about 30 duplex rooms on a "private island" (there is a village too). The rooms are nice (tho not as nice as the Santika) and are along the beach. It's a fairly long walk if you are in the last cottage, as I was. Most dive trips go east to Bangka Island, some to another island or to mainland. Thus you are not diving "your" island and the boat trips are not short. There is shore snorkelling, but it is mostly shallow and sand -- I did not do any. The water around Bangka Island was excellent and the diversity was outstanding: all the reef-stuff you could want and most of the muck-critters too: OGPs, Frogfish, giant Nudis, Devilfish, pygmy Seahorse (DM had a magnifying glass), ... The resort is expensive for the area. The manager seems unresponsive to guest concerns (I had paid for water-transfers but she wasn't interested in providing them). Although the DMs are good, their English is iffy -- they aren't much help with "What was that we saw?" The critter-diving gets a 6 of a 1-5 scale but when I return to the Bangka Island area I'll probably stay in one of the less-fancy resorts that are on Bangka island.
