Closest Airport SOQ Getting There Traveling from LAX I chose to connect in Hong Kong on my way to Jakarta. All direct flights to Sorong are red eyes so I rested in a room for 8 hours during my layover at the Anara Airport hotel before taking the red eye arriving a full 24 hours before my Liveaboard departure (and staying at Aston). I waited in the dining area (and had breakfast) and hoped I could have an early check in since flight arrivals are ~6am.
