Comments [None]This is my second trip aboard the Arenui. I was worried things had changed after covid. They did, it was better! My first trip was to Raj Ampart and it was everything I had hoped. I returned this time on short notice with my wife, a non-diver. She has never accompanied me on any of my live aboard experiences so I was vey worried. She asked to add her two cents at the end of my review so look for it below.
The boat is amazing. Clean, well thought out and run very well. The staff couldn't be better. From the wait staff to the dive masters they were excellent. It is a delivered with a genuine happiness. You can't fake the enthusiasm and jst overall friendliness. Our cabin was on the main deck (mainly because I had my wife with me). It was clean several times a day.
As for the diving, it doesn't get much better. If you like macro this is one of the best places. Just a short list of what we saw. At least 6 species of octopus including the mimic and coconut. No Blue ring this time. Plenty of cuttlefish, frogfish (one about the size of a quarter), ghost pipe fish, ribbon eels, Dragon Sea moth (look that one up)! Tons of critters. As far as the larger fish. We had plenty of manta action, a handful of sharks, tons of turtles. Big parrot fish, tuna, jacks, etc. We did a few drift dives with moderate to strong current. Nothing you can't handle. If you have never been go! Some of the best diving in the world and I can't think of a better vessel or crew! I will be back.

Non-Diver Review
This was my first live aboard trip. My husband has done many before, we are from the USA and he loves pacific diving versus the Caribbean. We looked a at few options where I would stay on ground and he would dive during the day (which is our normal caribbean vacation). This usually works as while he is diving I am at the beach or in town etc..but many times he is gone ALL DAY!

I was concerned I would not have much to do on the live aboard, but the diving was really only an hour at a time so in between we were able to spend time on the deck or in our cabin and have all our meals together. I was not bored at all. It helped to make friends with the other divers and socialize with them! He took a few dives off and went snorkeling with me, the crew was very accommodating. We had two excursions which were amazing and great to be off the boat (Komodo island and Pink Beach). I would have loved one more beach visit or another activity (kayak or paddle board) but one of the crew had to accompany me (if there was another non diver I think this would be less weird and I would have done it). The cabin was amazing (Rama), it had a full set of windows which really helped. I spent time lounging on the sofa bead reading and enjoying the scenery. I would highly recommend an above deck cabin for a non diver since we spend much more time in the cabin than the divers. The food was great and very plentiful ( I actually skipped a few meals, since I was not diving, I was not hungry).

UW Photo Comments [None]I can't really speak for serious photographers. Most of the guest including myself had GoPros. The cameras were rinsed dried and return to a dry bench inside. Plenty of charging stations. Macro, Macro, Macro! I can't imagine many places on the planet to have better macro subject matter. A few sharks, mantas and turtles.
