Comments This was my third trip on Amira, and my experience had some negative qualities. In particular, the dive guides generally under performed: sometimes did not stay with the group after entering the water from the skiffs to make sure everyone was OK; a couple of guides often dived 5-10 meters below the group; and inadequately pointed out things of interest. Having dived for 49 years, I have that time and experience perspective on what is outstanding service from a dive guide. I have experienced a lot better in Indonesia, Palau, Australia, and other destinations.

The trip had a lot more muck diving than the web site promoted for "Snake Adventure." I don't mind some muck diving, but you have to know what you are getting into before you go on an 11 night trip.

Most of the staff really try hard, and the boat itself is large and comfortable. I think, though, that the food has become overly repetitive.
