Comments Galapagos in July you must go expecting low vis and cold water (down to 16C on some dives). Unlucky for us we had extremely strong currents (downward as well as vertical) together with 1-2 meter swells on the surface. In any case Galapagos is only for the VERY experienced diver i would say.

The positive side was eagle rays, good long encounters with Mola Mola, few sharks (including hammerheads) and watching the iguanas feeding on sea grass. Also memorable were the many schools of dolphins passing us by while moored at Darwins Arch for 2 days. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the whale sharks which we were hoping for at this time of year.

Master Liveaboards get 4 stars in general for excellent boat crew, food and general taking care of day to day needs. They loose one star for broken poor quality wet suits which are essential when diving in 16 degrees Celsius !

UW Photo Comments Looking forward to the day when there will be No Photography Liveaboards where people will re-learn to live in the moment enjoying their surroundings without the need to record everything while getting in the way of divers without cameras...
