Comments This is a great boat. They are very safety oriented. All divers were given a mini-GPS, and for those that did not have them, a safety sausage and dive alert as well. We even had to have a meeting with our lifejackets before we started the adventure. Rental equipment (Scubapro) was is great condition.

We were not able to dive a site with the marine iguanas, which was a disappointment, but we were able to spend more time at Wolf & Darwin Island.

The food was plentiful, but very overcooked. If you have various food requirements, the kitchen staff doesn't seem to understand those limitations., The boat wine was so-so. The premium wines (available for purchase) were $100+ USD. Good selection of alcohol (gin, vodka, rum, whiskey), and Felipe, the bar steward and waiter, was wonderful.

The rooms are large, and had one of the largest bathrooms I have experienced on a live aboard.

I usually wear a 5/4 wet suit, but opted for a 7mm (plus hood). I did not get cold, nor was I too warm. Water temps were between 63 degrees and 78 degrees F.

Gloves are pretty much mandatory, as this is a washing machine of colliding currents, and you have to grip the underwater lava rocks to wait for the big
stuff to show up.

Longer trips between islands were done primarily at night.

If you can spring for PREMIUM seating on Avianca, it is well with the extra charge. A little more room, but you will still have to pay for everything (including water). You can bring your own water on the flights to/from San Cristobal. Avianca will charge you for an additional bag, and/or if your bag is more than 23kg (50.6lbs).
