Comments Good: Lots of White tip reef sharks. Canos Island makes for a very comfortable spot for lunch and surface intervals. At times, there were many different schools of fish intersecting at the same point.

Bad: Boat is very unstable. All 3 females were sea sick as soon as the boat stopped and we geared up (a first time for my wife - 60 plus dives). The rental equipment was atrocious. Their regulators gave out many times and at one time I thought I was going to have to sacrifice my reg (my own) so my wife could dive.

Pirate's Cove has hired an experienced dive instructor who is a whiz at fixing equipment (fixed two problems with my Air II system). Given enough time, Eric will get that equipment in shape.

There is not a lot of variety in Drake Bay to dive about 6 sites on Cano Island (about an hour boat ride). No shore diving and no night dives. I would keep my eye on this spot as I feel it will only improve in the future.

The food was very tasty and healthy and the resort is efficiently run by Suzanne. I liked our accomodations but for $100 to $200 more pp for 4 days, there were definitely better resorts (e.g. Drake Bay Wilderness) in the area.
