Comments Diving in Bonaire is easy, current free, with lots of small stuff to look at. A macro photographers delight. The reefs are probably the best in the Caribbean, but in my 28 years of diving there, I have observed deterioration in the reefs from both mother nature, building construction and divers. Of all the places in the world that I have been diving, Bonaire is at the top of the list for ease of diving and shore diving.

Bruce Bowker's Carib Innand dive operation is relaxed and respects divers. You can do your own profile or dive with the divemaster. Because of the small size of the operation, everyone gets to know each other. My buddy and I dive with Bruce's operation several times a year. We noticed that the majority of his guests are repeat guests who have been coming for many years. That sure does demonstrate that he has satisfied customers!

On the last few trips during 2008 and 2009, we have stayed at friends' homes. But up until then, we always stayed in one of Bruce's ten apartments. His place is right on the shoreline with easy access to a dive off the dock at dusk, dawn or any other time. The units all have air con bedrooms. The larger units have full kitchens, the smaller units have microwaves, refrigerators and sinks. There is also a swimming pool. The Inn is an easy walk into town where there are plenty of restaurants in the event you don't want to cook.

Bruce is known to have the best supply of equipment for sale at reasonable prices.

Bonaire is a great place for the new diver or the experienced diver. The Carib Inn is a great place for anyone who wants personal attention, friendly staff and friendly guests.
