R.I.P. Pirate's Point

Little Cayman's Pirate's Point, perhaps the Caribbean's greatest little dive resort ever, has been sold. It will close for good at the end of August.

Susan Howard, daughter of the beloved founder, Gladys Howard, says, "I do not know what the owner has planned, but I do know that the business will no longer operate as a dive resort.

"Either Mom or I could have possibly foretold what Pirate's Point would come to mean to my family, Little Cayman, and to all of you, our guests who return year after. It was wonderful . . . . Full of laughter, tears, food and more food, wine and more wine, and of course, diving in Little Cayman . . . .So, let's raise a glass and make a toast to all the wonderful memories."
