Comments We loved this small dive op in Tortola. Making arrangements with
Shirley was a dream prior to our trip -- prompt in responding to emails and very helpful. We had reserved particular days, but then got messed up by delayed flights, and they were very flexible in accommodating us rearranging our reserved days. Nasty weather prompted JP, our captain/DM to suggest not diving one day, and we took his advice, putting it off to the next, and adding another day at the end of the trip. In the water, there is great attention to safety and diver comfort, as well as respect for the sea life. JP was a delightful captain/DM, and he handled problematic guests on each of our dives with diplomacy -- though that kept him from being free to search out and point out small things for us to photograph.
They have small groups, no more than 6 guests, which makes for personalized service. No longer youngsters, we appreciated the ability to hand our gear up before climbing the ladder at the end of the dive. Rental gear is good quality and in good shape. There are cold drinks on board but no snacks, so bring your own, as you'll get back for a very late lunch.

The only negative was that the second DM/boat person was a new person each day, part of the commercial diving side of the enterprise. These guys were very personable, tried to be helpful, but they didn't know the dive sites -- on one occasion, he led us into current over dead coral with virtually nothing to see for the entire dive (I like "muck diving", but this was muck without the critters). To compensate for the sub-par experience, they offered us two free t-shirts and apologies. Overall, I highly recommend these folks and would dive with them again if we return to Tortola.
