Comments We were on a bareboat sailing vacation in BVI and wanted to do some diving. Two of the four of us dove there many years ago but on our trips back to BVI since then we have just snorkeled b/c we thought diving was more trouble that it was worth. This time we had a newly certified diver with us so we agreed to try again. We arranged (a few months ahead of our trip) with Sail Caribbean Divers to meet us for 2 days of 2-tank diving. They made it so easy. We agreed on the date, time and location and they picked us up as planned. We also let them provide almost all our gear, including wetsuits, and were very pleased with everything.
The first day we were the only divers on the boat. We dove two sites that they suggested off Ginger Island. Seas were choppy but the crew and boat handled them fine Saw several black-tip reef sharks and a couple eagle rays in addition to the usual reef fish. The second day we did two dives on the Rhone wreck. This time were were lucky with very calm seas. I'm not a big fan of wreck dives but this one is well worth it. Especially after their thorough briefing complete with history and a chart to point out things to look for. Overall I found Sail Caribbean Divers to be very competent and enjoyable.
