Comments Recent rains worsened the visibilty, according to our operators. N2theBlue uses only one small boat that accomodates 6 divers--boat entry and exit are easy. Divemaster Tim and Pilot Steve were friendly, very knowledgeable, low-key, and a lot of fun. Boat can carry only one set of tanks, so we returned to the pier for more on our two-tank morning dives. The reefs were in decent shape with the usual mix of Caribean fish except groupers and and trigger fish seemed rare. Seahorses are seen often, thanks to Tim's sharp eyes. The night dive off Fredericksted Pier is terrific for critters and octopi and can be easily done w/o a guide. There are beach dives, but a rental car is needed to do them and get around at all. Sandcastle on the Beach is about 3 stars and is on the beach about 1/2 mile south of Fredericksted. Of the restaurants we tried, it was the best. Finally, the Cane Bay Wall is accessable from the beach and be wary with Cane Bay Dive Shop; they're cheapskates.
