Comments This was a 2-tank day dive to Tongue-of-the-Reef Ledge and Beach House Ledge off Boynton Beach on the Atlantic Coast of Florida. We signed up on line, arrived to show our certification cards, and boarded Delta’s Splash for 25-minute ride to the Ledges. The visibility was less than 25 feet, but our Buddy threesome managed to stay together and to find and follow the Ledges. I did REEF fish surveys and counted 60 species, including a school of ballyhoo at the surface during our safety stop. We saw no turtles under the Ledges, despite its being loggerhead nesting season. The Ledges have medium relief - less than 20 feet - but they have a lot of crevices for fish to hide and grow.
There was nothing spectacular, but we enjoyed the day, the boat, and the dives.
