Comments	Spent long weekend in Key West and decided to dive the Vandenburg. Southpoint Divers were very easy to book, nice boat with plenty of room. Since we were advanced SSI - we had option wether to have guide or not. We elected to hire guide since we had never dove this wreck. They were very strict on profile since this wreck has put many a diver in the chamber in it's brief history. There was a drag line, traverse and descent line s you didn't have to expend hardly any energy descending on the wreck. We descended right beside the cool radar dish on the big V and swam all over and through midships up to the bow. The guide - Billy - was extremely attentive and even stopped to take our picture at the dish. We turned around at the bow, made our way leisurely back to the ascent line. Our total max depth was 92' and we got to spend about 22-min on the wreck during the dive. The second dive was a shallow 25' dive on a reef known as "the 9 Stakes". Saw lobster, large Nurse Shark, one huge Barracuda, but not much else. Easy dive for 1-hour, no guide, natural navigation throughout reef. Southpoint is a great dive operator - thorough dive briefs, let you dive your own profile within limits, large comfortable boat, De-Fib/O2 on board.
