Comments Enjoyed diving with Olympus. I was a bit afraid to dive with them, since they did not lead guided dives like in the Caribbean. However, Olympus personnel pre dived the site before we went into the water and told us what to expect. I was diving with a group of very experienced divers, probably more experienced than the dive masters at some of the other destinations where I dove in the past. The boat rides to the dive sites usually took about 2 hours. The first day I got seasick. Found the boat rides to the dive sites a bit rough. After throwing up the first day, I took seasickness medicine and had no problems on the three remaining days. The first day I dove with a 5-4-3 wetsuit. However I felt chilly in the water at depth using this suit. I then switched to a 7-mil suit which I found to be more comfortable at depth. One day we could not go out because of the rough sea conditions. We dove, the Indra,U-352 submarine,Aeolus and the Caribsea. Saw many sand tiger sharks on the Caribsea at 100 ft and also when doing a 15 foot stop for 5 minutes. The crew including, George, Galvin, Bud and others were all very helpful. I would consider diving with Olympus again. I got a good deal on accommodations at the EconoLodge in Morehead City. AARP room rate was about $71/night for a single room. Breakfast was included in the room rate. I had to be on the boat between (6:00-6:30) AM and therefore could not partake of the free breakfast. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Olympus divers from the Econolodge.
