Comments This is a great place to see WWII wrecks. We did a full day charter on the Midnight Express.

We got up early to get to the boat on time, 6AM check-in. We did 2 dives on the Caribsea, a freighter that was torpedoed in WWII. My wife was overly excited as this site is famous for Sand Tiger Sharks and she has been wanting to go since I first told her about it 16 years ago. Olympus provides water and coolers for you to put food/snacks/drinks. The boat we were on, Midnight Express, has a lounge are and a sun deck for passengers.

It is a 2 hour boat ride out to the offshore wrecks, but well worth it. Once they arrive at the wreck, a dive master drops and ties directly to the wreck. They put out tail line, 15ft lines for safety stop, 2 regs incase there is an issue and a line running to the anchor line. Then they place a line along the wreck to help you navigate.
They do an awesome job of maintaining a list of people. They ask your #, they give you a boarding pass with it on it, as you enter the water, as you return to the boat and once everyone is on board they do a roll call to verify.

We dropped in for our first dive and the sharks put on a display. There was a thermocline around 55-60ft where the water temp dropped from 80s to low 70s. In a not so good video I shot, I counted 41 sharks. Bait fish were everywhere on the wreck. There were Jacks swooping through eating, multiple eels, toadfish... The corals were encrusting the wreck and in good shape. If you want them, sharks teeth were everywhere.

Dive 1 -- Max depth: 85ft, dive time: 52 minutes, EANx: 30%

They give you a surface interval time of 90 minutes. During the interval, they do come around and give you some nice cold candy to munch on.

Second dive was a little murky but still great. Sharks still there, still tons of bait fish, counted 4 toadfish, multiple eels.

Dive 2 -- Max depth: 95ft, dive time: 55 minutes, EANx: 30%
