Comments I dove with this company after my live-aboard to the Dry Tortugas was cancelled while I was en route to Key West. As well as refunding the trip, the live-aboard operator let me stay on board at dock for my three days in Key West and hooked me up with this operator.

The boat was comfortable enough. I think the dive-briefings were thorough and clear. One gold star goes for the dive master who spent a few extra minutes with me sketching out the sites.

Seas were choppy with 4-7 foot waves. In the shallow sites (<25 fsw) the surge was manageable, but it kicked up sediment and reduced visibility to less than 15 ft at times. On the days I went out, the dives were all less than 60 fsw. These sites were: the Hump, Middle Sambo, Joe's Tug and 9-foot Stake. I think the more photogenic critters on these reefs were the sea fans and sponges. I saw the usual Caribbean species of fish and coral representing, but I didn't have any big WOW moments. Except for the lion fish and its a bad kinda' wow because I can't believe how many I found-- eight over 4 dives.

I give these guys kudos for being part of the Blue Star program of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. I think any operator working in the Florida Keys NMS should step up and participate in the program.
