Comments Wreck Trek- The Bibb, Eagle, & Spiegel Grove. This was a club dive, with about 20 of us along. The Bibb lies on it's side, starts at about 90 ft., and on that day was the sparsest of the 3 wrecks. In attendance were a school of Atlantic spades, trumpetfish, and sharp nose puffers. The Eagle, the second dive, we dove at about 80 ft. It had far more life on it-also lots of growth. The residents: a pair of large green morays were sitting together out in the open- as if posing! Parrots, groupers, jacks, silversides,& butterflies were abundant. The following day we were going to do the Spiegel Grove and the Duane- but due to cond. on the Duane, we did two dives on the Grove, which were two great dives. Abundant life- angels, parrots, snappers, groupers, porkfish, jacks, trumpetfish, sharpnose puffers. The neatest part of the dive was the huge Goliath groupers just floating out in the water column. All four dives were easy dives-we had no current on any of the wrecks during the time frame we were there. The dive operation is friendly, helpful, and great. They always take a roll call, and do a thorough briefing. There was a covered area to wait in before the dives (out of the sun), and afterwards, there were rolling racks where we hung our wetsuits and boots overnight. I would recommend this dive operation!
