Comments We planned to dive with Captain Slate's dive op for 10 dives, including the Spiegel Grove and the Duane. They had mostly beginner divers that didn't want to "go deep" and so they made arrangements for us to dive the wrecks with other shops. This allowed us to pay the "bundled" price for the dives and got us where we wanted to go. I would have preferred to stick with one dive op - but was very pleased that they took the effort to get us the dives that we wanted.

On one day they did their "Creature Feature" dive, which was a fish feed. I'm not keen about feeding the wildlife, but they seemed to be sensitive to how they were doing. Always kept to one dive site to minimize impact. Mostly fed the Nurse Sharks and Goliath Groupers.

Captain Slate's also got a room at the nearby Hampton Inn. It was clean and just what you'd expect for a Hampton Inn - and for $99/night was a great deal. They had a pool and nice outdoor area on the bay.

Not the most exciting diving that I've done in my life, but for the cost and ease of travel, it was well worth it. They have some great wrecks in Key Largo!
