Comments This is a very personal operation. 30' open transom dive boat owned and operated by the captain and DM/Instructor. Certified for 15 takes 8-10 max. Can take snorkelers and divers together on trips to shallow reefs. Has fresh water rinse on shore and locker for storing gear between dives. Located in marina next to Holiday Inn.
For the first 4 dives including a twilight and night dive, my son and I were the only 2 passengers along with the Captain and the DM/Instructor. They don't need a full boat to go out.
Diving was very nice, shallow with 35-40 foot bottom, great for beginners or those getting back after a hiatus. Large schools of snappers, midnight parrots, glassy sweepers, etc. and plenty of other reef creatures to keep you busy especially at night. The combination of a twilight dive followed by a night dive was great for those making their 1st night dive as it allowed divers to get used to lower light gradually.
Dive operation does more exciting wreck dives to Spiegel Grove, Duane, etc. but I had my Jr certified son with me and he couldn't exceed 60 feet.
All in all a very relaxed operation.
Dive operation can get discount rates at Holiday Inn and other hotels.
