UW Photo Comments This was my third trip on this ship. Priors in 2006 and 2009. The ship is in better condition than 2009 with new engines. The author of the article in the last issue was overly severe in the assessment of the reefs, at least in the areas we dove. All our dives were on West Caicos and French Cay. We did no dives along the northeast side of Provo. There was algae, but it was minor compared to Eluethra, Bahamas. The author did a good job in defining the ship swing about the mooring.
The thing that had changed the most from 2009 was a reduction in small reef fish and VERY few Lion fish! I only saw less than 10 all trip, and most of those were large. In 2009 there were multitudes of lion fish on every dive. Our Chef was Jim McCullough who provided us with excellent meals and artistic tasty deserts. He handled all our many dietary restrictions with no problems. Jim was a fill in for Stan the regular cook. We were delighted to have Jim as we had experienced his cusine on the AquaCat. Great trip, Capt Jean-Francois Chabot and his crew took great care of us and gave us wonderful dive experiences.
