Comments It's just plain sad to experience the level of coral bleaching and depletion of the fish stock. The staff at Scuba Steve's Diving were excellent and tried very hard to make something positive out of these unfortunate circumstances. In 3 days of diving I never saw any apex animals. What was there (groupers, parrot fish, etc.) were small. Even the one lion fish was small. There were schools of some reef fish in one area. The one turtle we saw was basking on the surface.
It was about a 45-minute fast boat ride to the dive sites. The boat was clean and safety-equipped. It comfortably held 10 divers and 4 staff. There were small rinse tanks, snacks and water available.
To the credit of the authorities (or someone) there are attempts to grow new coral.
I gave the beginner divers two stars because the current was quite strong. It took a bit of work to maintain proximity to the other divers. The boat followed us and everyone was picked up.
Cap Maison is a 5-star resort, about a 15 minute taxi ride away. There are hotels closer to the dive shop.

UW Photo Comments Although there were a few divers with cameras (including me), no one had a big rig. There isn't enough room on the boat to accommodate large camera rigs.
