Comments This was a stellar trip. The boat is nothing special, but it totally works for the purpose. Everything else absolutely delivers in spades. One nice thing about the boat for photographers (which I am not, but my husband is) is the dedicated camera table in the salon. That does take away from the available seating in the salon, so it depends on your focus. The staff is absolutely fabulous. Very attentive dive staff and boat staff. The tinnies were always there to pick us up when we surfaced and took us right back to the boat. Excellent local food, purchased from local people who paddled up to the boat pretty much daily. Fresh fish and vegetables. The diving was spectacular, easy, and plentiful. The corals are gorgeous. Lots of pretty reef fish, nudibranches, and larger fish (Jacks, Sharks, Tuna, Bumphead Parrot fish and even a Whale Shark!) I would go back in a heartbeat. The village visits were very edifying. The local carvings spectacular and reasonably priced. The people shy but very friendly.

Closest Airport Honiara Getting There We flew from San Francisco to Nadi in Fiji using Fiji Air and then to Honiara in the Solomon Islands via Air Niu Giuini. The luggage transfer in Fiji was tough, because you have to act like you are staying in Fiji and not transferring to another country. This was not clear to anyone and we were given the wrong instructions and stood in the wrong line. Coming back it was similar, but we expected it. Fiji Air misplaced our luggage coming and going. It was a bit stressful, but worth it.

UW Photo Comments They have a dedicated table in the salon to set up cameras and change lenses inside, an entire room devoted to charging things, and a camera rack/table on the dive deck. It is absolute heaven for a photographer.
