Comments This was my first time in the Red Sea after many trips to the South Pacific. It was nice to see some of the Red Sea endemic fishes, but the diversity was no where near what I am used to. And there were very few large fish and no sharks, though the briefings for several dives talked about the sharks we would see.

The boat was new and large, but felt more like a luxury yacht than a scuba boat. It was so big that you spent a lot of time going up and down stairs. The cruise director was new, and gave somewhat confusing dive briefings, and often failed to put up the day's schedule so we didn't know what was going to happen.

It felt like many dive sites were very similar, without much variety in what we saw. I'm glad I finally saw the Red Sea, but probably won't go back.
