Comments This trip was a last minute decision, only did 2 dive trips with them due to it being a holiday weekend. The marina was a madhouse of people, and a last minute remote parking was set up with a shuttle bus, with the driver being unsure where the shop or boat was. Finally after an hour found the dive boat, and was the first one to arrive. None of this was the dive shops fault as they were as surprised as anyone with the last minute parking changes. These hiccups do not impact my ratings.

Dive boat was a modern large Newton, well maintained and equipped with snacks and refreshments. My first days dive was to Culebra, which is considered their better dive reefs, but a long trip in the boat. The first dive was mainly sand and sea grass with very few corals. Lunch was supposed to be a picnic on the beach but due to the late start it was canceled and we ate on the boat. Dive two looked more promising as there was a wall with decent coral, but the dive guide on both dives was always in a hurry to cover as much ground as possible, so we didn't linger to inspect the area, instead we finned over sand and rocks. The second day was a local dive that still took time to arrive, once again it was frequent finning miles, with no chance to even inspect the coral that was there. I suspect we didn't linger because the skill level of most of the divers couldn't handle getting close to the reef without crashing into it. I canceled the third day.

Overall for experienced divers this should be a pass, we didn't have time to check diving on the other sides of the island. The crew was friendly and appeared competent, the boat in good order, and the shop once I found was neat and had all the usual dive stuff. Since I bring my own gear, I can't comment on the rental gear. The chaos at the Marina was not the dive shop's fault, I think they were caught flatfooted.

For newer divers that are looking to get some underwater time, if your in PR, I would say use them, you will be in good hands.
