Comments Romblon is not easy to get to but it is worth the effort, especially if you love small creatures. The resort is owned by three German/Philippino brothers, hence the Three P. They run a very professional operation. David is another German who does the cooking. The food was exceptionally good. We ate far too much. Accommodations were simple and clean. AC worked well. Although we were in front of mangroves, there was no mosquito problem. There are 3 dives a day, and a night dive if wanted. Dive briefings from Cyril were very succinct: depth of 15m , turn right, follow me. Perfect! Within about 60 seconds Cyril spots the first nudi and it is nudis galore from then on, including the iconic butterfly nudi. Diving is from a simple outrigger boat. At low tide you must wade out over the mud flats and sand to get to the boat, while avoiding sea urchins. Water shoes are necessary. I had to borrow a pair off the resort. It would be best to take your own. Most dives were more than 70 minutes on air. The dives are shallow with very little current. Water temperature was 80F in March. We did a muck dive one night. There were many octopus and some stargazers etc. This is not the place for larger animals but if your penchant is for macro photography then this is the place.
