Comments This was my second visit to Liquid Dumaguete. The resort is located in the center of the prime diving area in Dauin. There are two types of rooms: A/C and Fan rooms. I had a fan room on my first visit and A/C on my last, but the A/C rooms are definitely the way to go. It gets quite hot there and it is a good way to escape the heat and relax, when necessary. The resort has a very good restaurant and you can choose to eat at their location above the office or adjacent to the pool, where there is also a bar. Like other resorts along the Dauin coast, it is a bit isolated if you want to go to town. Transportation is cheap and the resort can set up a taxi or trike to get you where you want to go. We found it unnecessary to leave the resort. The diving is done in small groups, either from a larger boat, a small taxi boat, or from the shore, utilizing their dive truck. My wife and I were assigned our own divemaster for the week that we were there. He was great at finding all sorts of critters. The diving in Dumaguete is diverse. There is great muck diving along the coast and beautiful reefs out at Apo Island. Since it was only my wife and I assigned to our DM, and there was a large group from Australia at the resort, we were often relegated to diving from the truck or small taxi boat. This was a bit uncomfortable at times. There was one night dive that we did off the taxi boat, that should have been done from the main boat, which was available. They had assigned an extra diver to our little group and I think that the taxi boat was just too small for that. But overall the diving was outstanding, as was our Divemaster. The resort staff was friendly and helpful and the resort grounds were beautiful and well kept. I would definitely stay there again should I return to Dumaguete.

UW Photo Comments I think that the large boat had a small rinse bucket, but there was a larger, dedicated rinse tank on shore. We worked on our cameras in our rooms. The subject matter is incredible. Lots of diversity.
