Comments	We actually did not dive in Puerto Galera. While our experience was not a nightmare, it was also not positive. Although El Galleon was recommended to us, it did not meet our expectations. When we arrived, we inquired about signing up for diving the next day; we wanted to know what boat we would be on as we noticed that Asia Divers seems to do a lot of certifications. We never seemed to get an answer, and that was the start of having a weird vibe about the place. They showed us to the camera room: no a/c, no towels, outlets but no power strips at the stations. We might have used the pool at the resort, but it was in big use by the dive shop and confined water instruction. There is a restaurant on site. They charge to refill your water bottle (in the Philippines, drinking tap water is discouraged). This seemed of great concern since dehydration is always a challenge for divers. Our room a/c did not really keep up (it was over 90F air temp), and we had other room challenges. While staff offered to give us a different room, we opted to leave Puerto Galera without doing any diving. Puerto Galera seemed crowded with resort after resort, dive shop after dive shop. As experienced underwater photographers, it just didn't suit us.
