Comments Pros:
In my opinion this is one of the best dive sites in the world. Lots of very unusual stuff. Resort was very nice.
Cons:
This is the land of No's. No solo diving. No diving away from the group. No dives longer than 1 hour. No shore diving, no diving after 750 psi at your rest stop, no unsupervised night dives. Way too much baby sitting for me! The divemaster was a nervous wreck trying to keep track of everyone.
In defense, there can be ripping currents which can separate divers.
There are LOTS of other dive operations on Puerto Gallera, and I would check into them.
Quite a treck getting to the resort. 2+ hours van ride from Manila over bumps roads then 1 hour boat ride.
Tip:
1. bring a reef hook
2. get the massage ($20.00 at the resort for 1 hour, and $10.00 down the street!)
3. Get nitrox. I tried air for 1 day, but was bumping against NDL on the third dive.

UW Photo Comments We were with a group of photographers, and so the camera room was a little cramped. Some had to set their gear up elsewhere.
No rinse tanks on the boats.
OUTSTANDING subject material including: frog fish, wunderpus, pipe fish of all types, tons of nudibranchs, etc.
