Comments This resort was better than its sister property in Puerto Galera in terms of luxury, layout, and amenities. The dining area is on the waterfront, providing a nice view at each meal. Meal choices provided a variety of foods at every meal and the quality and quantity of food was good. Service was excellent.

The rooms were nice and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower, in-room safe, enough space to lay out photography gear, etc.

There was a photography room and a separate classroom which were very nice and spacious.

Diving was easy and the dive shop area was well-organized. Each diver had an assigned area for their gear and there were large rinse tanks available for after a dive. After the first dive, divers only had to handle their masks/fins/wet suits--everything else was taken care of throughout the week. Nitrox was available and the area for analyzing tanks was super easy to access.

Every dive began with a great briefing and we had a 1 guide to 4 diver ratio which worked well for us. Plenty of little critters to see. Our first dive had the dive guide clanging frantically to point out two blue-ringed octopus that were mating. The rest of the trip progressed with several other blue-ringed octopus, coconut octopus, sea horses, many nudibranchs and plenty of frog fish.

Overall Atlantis Dumaguete is a nice resort with a nice dive operation. They also have a nice spa offering a number of different treatment options.
